認識他是因為 John Berger。
那天在車上讀著 Berger 的新書 Holding Everything Dear,第五章 I Would Softly Tell My Love 引了 Nazim 幾首詩作,當時讀了題為 9-10 pm. Poems 的一首給 so。

hasn't been crossed yet.

we haven't seen yet.

I haven't said yet.
They've taken us prisoner,
they've locked us up:
me inside the walls,
you outside.
But that's nothing.
The worst
is when people - knowingly or not -
carry prison inside themselves ...
Most people have been forced to do this,
honest, hard-working, good people
who deserve to be loved as much as I love you.
